Created in 2008, Newfund has raised more than 100 million Euros for investments in high-growth-potential companies and service innovators. As of June 2015, its portfolio included investments in 42 start-ups in France and the US. Newfund’s founder François Veron confirmed his presence at IPEM in 2016. In this interview, he tells us why he chose to participate in IPEM.
- Why did you choose to participate in IPEM ?
François VERON: “IPEM is a great place to meet with the community and learn more about the recent developments and best practices of the private equity market. We are eager to share with investors, peers and potential partners what we are implementing at Newfund in terms of early stage venture capital. Also, we support all kind of innovations and innovators and IPEM is definitely one of them in the marketplace.”
- What do you expect from IPEM?
François VERON: “Meetings with investors is our priority since we consider raising Newfund2 in 2016. Established in 2008, Newfund has raised 100 million Euros so far, primarily from family offices and corporates. We are interested in discussing with this type of investors and institutional investors as well as presenting our achievements and what we intend to do in the future.”
