One of IPEM’s greatest strengths is networking. For many years, we’ve provided an efficient way for our attendees to connect digitally and in person, building meaningful connections worldwide along the way.
Now, with your brand new IPEM Account, the whole process has been streamlined. As we constantly work behind the scenes to improve the user experience, here are a few guidelines.
For LPs
1. THE IPEM DATABASE (FOR LPs)
Our internal database is specific to every IPEM edition. It contains every single person that has confirmed their presence at the upcoming IPEM event. This database is accessible only to users who have confirmed their participation at the same IPEM event – it opens two months prior and closes one month after it takes place.
• Contacts: As you can see in the image above, our database can be sorted in three ways: by Participants, LPs, or Firms. Each one sorts the contacts’ details differently, prioritizing various types of information.
• Filters: As of today, this handy tool allows you to filter results by Firm Country, Firm Type, Exhibitor, LP, Fund Strategies, and Affinity Score.
• Export results: By clicking on the button EXPORT RESULTS, you can download an Excel file with the list of attendees. Adding filters to the results on the screen will also affect the results on the downloaded file.
As we continue updating our powerful online service, many more features will come soon.
2. CONTACTING OTHER ATTENDEES (FOR LPs)
Use our database to connect with fellow attendees seamlessly. Our system employs encrypted email addresses, ensuring privacy and security, and enabling you to conveniently arrange meetings that will take place during the event.
Our Affinity Score analyzes your profile and compares it to others in the database, giving each one a score in relation to you. That score will determine the compatibility between your points of interest and the other person’s.
As an LP, your Affinity Score has no impact on whom you can contact. You are free to contact anyone on the database, with an unlimited weekly quota. The only condition is that you be an LP in an “Investor-type” firm.
For GPs
1. THE IPEM DATABASE (FOR GPs)

Our Affinity Score analyzes your profile and compares it to others in the database, giving each one a score in relation to you. That score will determine your eligibility to contact other attendees.
As a GP, if you score 1 star or more with another participant, you can click on their name to contact them. The weekly email quota for Fund Management firms is 60 per firm. If one GP individual in a Fund Management firm unlocks another participant’s encrypted email address, it will remain unlocked for the whole firm until the end of the edition.
If your Affinity Score column shows no stars on another participant, it means you don’t share enough firm and profile details for you to be able to contact them.
